Looking for a unit that can protect your tanks from large units? We've got the answer in this Clash Royale Wizard guide. Discover our tips and tricks for playing the card strategically and integrating it into a deck that takes advantage of its benefits and addresses its shortcomings.
Clash Royale Wizard card is available from Arena 5: Spell Valley. This is a rare card that costs 5 Elixir units. The Wizard moves at medium speed and targets units on the ground and in the air at a range of 5.5 squares.
Its attack inflicts area damage every 1.4 seconds. Its impact can be colossal, as it is capable of hitting many targets at the same time, be they ground or air. On the other hand, its weak point is undoubtedly its lack of hit points, which is the same amount as the Musketeer.
In Clash Royale, the Wizard is most often used in attack. However, he doesn't have enough health points to make a difference on his own. Instead, send him behind a tank, such as the Giant, the Golem or the P.E.K.K.A, so that he is protected from large units, such as the Skeleton Army or the Minion Horde.
You can still use the Wizard in defense. To maximize its damage, place it behind your tower so that it is not targeted by opposing units. A combo with the Tornado can also be interesting to gather the enemy troops.
To counter an opposing Wizard, the Musketeer is an effective solution that allows you to gain a slight Elixir advantage. If he crosses the bridge without a tank to cover him, a mini-tank like the Mini P.E.K.K.A or the Valkyrie are enough to stall enough for your tower archers to finish the job. You can also consider the Fireball, but it needs to be higher level than the Wizard to eliminate it.
The best Clash Royale Wizard deck is a bit special since it does not include any buildings or air units. Instead, you have three spells that allow you to counter your opponent's moves.
Let's start the composition of this deck with the Giant Skeleton. This tank is your toughest unit. When it dies, it drops a bomb that deals area damage. Your goal is to get the Giant Skeleton to reach the tower before it dies so that the explosion can deal damage.
To do this, send the Wizard in support to counter the numerous units with his zone damage, the Knight to take over from the Giant Skeleton, then the Hog Rider who takes advantage of the fact that the opposing units are occupied to attack the tower directly.
On defense, counter opposing tanks with the Skeleton Army and large troops with the Wizard or your Log and Fireball spells. Finally, the Tornado can be used in combo with one of the spells or with the Wizard, to gather the enemies and optimize the zone damage.
