The little mummy Amumu hopes to make new friends when he arrives in LoL: Wild Rift. It's still unclear whether he's a Yordle or not, but we do know that he belongs in the jungle. This historical figure from the League of Legends universe is very accessible for those new to the role of jungler. Amumu is a great way to build up your confidence quickly. Despite his small size and advanced age, this character is a great teamfighter and can pull off some very nice team combos. But before you get there, you'll have to read our Amumu jungle Wild Rift guide carefully to become his best friend! 😅
To master Amumu jungle, you'll need to pay attention to your character's mana, manage your pathing and set up his powerful crowd control rotation.
First of all, let's say thatAmumu is a tank. You can't totally ignore his magic damage and the good AP ratios associated with his skills, but that's no reason to give him a full damage itemisation! The little mummy needs defensive stats to go for it and be at its most damaging. That's why, despite the fact that the smart ones don't like it, we advise you to equip it with resources that reinforce its solidity. However, you are free to try out atypical builds in normal games or with the training tool.
The first thing we do with Amumu is to improve his Anger skill, and this is non-negotiable. The latter allows him to clean up his jungle more quickly. There are then two schools. Junglers who like to farm, upgrade Despair. Those who are more active in ganking, upgrade Strip Throw. The damage doesn't increase much, but the reduction of the recovery time is very useful.
|Amumu's basic attacks curse enemies. Cursed opponents take additional raw damage whenever they receive magical damage from Amumu or another source.
|Amumu throws a strip in a straight line that sticks to the first enemy hit (champion, monster, minion, etc.). The mummy wounds its target and sticks to it.
|Amumu cries and hurts nearby enemies over time. The mummy can decide at any time when to start and when to stop crying.
|Anger allows Amumu to injure all nearby enemies. Each time he is hit by an attack, the recovery time is reduced. Passively, the skill also reduces physical damage.
Curse of Amumu
|The little mummy wounds and stuns all enemies in a large area around him. In addition, affected enemies are cursed by Amumu's passive.
Anger and Despair could be the title of a movie, but they are your main weapons to quickly kill the monsters in the jungle. These two AoE skills should be used without moderation. The only real limit is your mana, but with the blue Buff, the worry disappears. To save a little time and power-farm, it is also possible with the Bandage Throw to cross walls to go faster from one camp to the other. This skill, which also works on champions, makes it possible to follow a possible runner who has used Lightning Jump.
There are two ways to set up your control rotation. In teamfight, your goal is to stun as many enemies as possible. Go to the middle of the melee with your Strip Roll and then cast Amumu's Curse to win the fight on your own. If there's only one target, don't bother. First throw your ultimate , which is hard to miss. Then use the strip to hit the enemy who is already immobile. Also remember to attack as many different enemies as possible to apply the Cursed Touch passive to several targets.
The little melancholic mummy is an excellent team champion. He rules the teamfights and hopes that his team will come together as much as possible. He forms an excellent duo with Orianna and his zone ultimate . While the latter is not always easy to place, Amumu makes his job easier by immobilising several enemy champions without too much trouble. The duo is even stronger, as the cyborg benefits greatly from the little mummy's passive. 🙃
In teamfighting, Amumu will always find his place and remains an excellent champion. However, the champion can have a hard time at the beginning of the game, especially if the pace increases. He needs time to farm and to get the right equipment. He does not shine in duels and fears junglers like Olaf or Lee Sin. They are very strong at the beginning of the game and can easily chase you out of your own map game. So be careful in the draft phase and think twice before taking out Amumu.
Amumu is one of the oldest champions on League of Legends and the bad tongues will say that his gameplay doesn't hide many secrets. That's not entirely untrue, and other than using Strip Throw defensively to escape, we don't have any specific advice for you. In any case, with AoEs, the jungle is child's play for the champion. You'll have a field day with the Corbans and Wolves.
We have also tested the famous Amumu full-AP for you. With this itemisation, the mummy inflicts a lot of damage and can be very fun. However, this version does not seem very viable and the champion will have even less impact at the beginning of the game. His fragility will not allow him to get into the thick of things and his health points will drop quickly when it comes to killing monsters in the jungle. We tested it, but we didn't approve!
We've come to the end of our Amumu jungle Wild Rift guide. Now that you've learned all the secrets of the champion, all you have to do is play a few games to put theory into practice!
