What future esport for LoL: Wild Rift with the banns?

Riot Games greatly enjoys developing the competitive aspect of its games. LoL: Wild Rift, the mobile version of League of Legends, is no exception. While the scene is still in its infancy at the moment,esport Wild Rift will soon take on a new dimension with patch 2.4. The latter introduces a ban system, which greatly increases the strategic dimension of the draft phases. The game becomes less casual and it is an important step towards the esport sphere.

Esport Wild Rift: how does the ban system work?

In LoL: Wild Rift, players have the opportunity to play as a large number of champions. The latter belong to different categories (tank, shooter, mage...) but have unique skills and profiles. This makes it possible to build powerful compositions that benefit from great synergy or to select a specific character to counter an opponent. But with the introduction of a ban system, each team will now be able to make 3 champions unavailable. This will change the game experience and increase the competitive dimension.

The top three players on each team will have the opportunity to ban one champion each. This differs from the PC version of LoL where all 10 players can ban a total of 10 champions. The developer team explained this difference by pointing out that there are currently fewer champions in LoL: Wild Rift. Caitlyn or Malzahar have not yet arrived on mobile, for example. Butesport Wild Rift will soon be expanded to 10 as soon as there are enough playable characters.

Another change to the Ranked

Riot Games has also decided to make another change to the Ranked system that may be important in the future esport Wild Rift. As in the PC version of the MOBA, the promotion matches between divisions will disappear. The aim is to reduce the pressure and potential frustration for players. This change also makes the rankings more volatile and the most talented players will reach the top faster to get noticed by the professional structures. But they will also be able to fall back down more quickly.
