Invictus Gaming signs 3 pro players on TFT

Invictus Gaming knows its League of Legends universe inside out. The Chinese organisation, world champion in 2019, is one of the heavyweights of the scene esport. However, its appetite is far from being satiated and the structure has decided to set up an international division on TFT (Teamfight Tactics), the auto-chess of Riot Games. The TFT Invictus Gaming team has announced the recruitment of three North American players. They are Daniel "DQA" Li, Hanyuan "Noobowl" Ye and Andrew "guubums" Cheung. Three well-known players who hope to win the next world championships at the end of the year.

This international recruitment may come as a surprise. But as the competition will be held in China, Invictus Gaming is surely trying to maximise its chances of winning the tournament at home.

TFT Invictus Gaming: a boon for gamers

This international recruitment can make people cringe. On the American side, it would have been preferable for local players to represent local structures. On the Chinese side, we would also have liked the structure to rely on home-grown talent rather than investing abroad. But this operation is indicative of the state of the TFT scene in the world. There is no lack of talent in North America, but many structures are cautious and do not dare to invest... DQA, Noobowl and guubums despite their talent remained without a structure. IG guubums on track for the TFT Reckoning qualifiers
