To celebrate the holiday season, Supercell has just rolled out the Clash Royale Clashmas Update. Let's discover the changes brought by this Christmas update, as well as the arrival of a new magic item to help you play low level cards: the card boost potion.
What's new in the Clash Royale Clashmas update
This Christmas season, the Clash Royale Clashmas Update is coming to Supercell's card game with a few goodies in the bag. For the occasion, you can unlock a beautiful skin tower with an ugly Christmas sweater, as well as three other skins towers in the same theme: Christmas decoration, toys and gingerbread.
Also available now is the Santa Hog Rider Challenge, where surprise gifts will spice up the game. New emotes and Christmas-themed battle banners are also available with the Clash Royale Clashmas Update, which can be found in the Royale Pass as well as in the store.
The card boost potion: the new magic item
In addition to all these new features, the most important change in this Clash Royale update is the addition of the card boost potion. This magic item allows you to increase cards level on your king's tower for a limited time.
These can be obtained by completing daily tasks and challenges, but also via the Pass Royale, the Path of Legends or in the store.
The card boost potion effect lasts for one hour and you can accumulate up to 8 of them in your inventory. If you already have the maximum number of potions, you will receive 500 gold coins instead. The card boost potion can be used in all game modes, provided you use your own cards, which excludes some challenges.
