The Honor of Kings global release is coming soon

Upcoming Honor of Kings global release

After a phenomenal success in China since 2015, we will finally see the Honor of Kings global release. Will Level Infinite and TiMi Studios' MOBA reach the same success internationally? We take a look at what we know about this announcement.

The Honor of Kings global release is finally coming

Level Infinite has officially announced the news via Twitter. No precise date has been given for the Honor of Kings golbal release, in the US, Europe and more. We currently have to deal with an estimate for the end of 2022.

However, we know that the testing phases will start in July. Several beta sessions will be organised, but it is not yet possible to register.

Honor of Kings global release by Level Infinite

To prepare for the Honor of Kings release, let's go back to the game's principle. HoK is a MOBA, largely inspired by League of Legends, whose characters come from Chinese mythology.

Players can compete in 1v1, 3v3, and especially 5v5 arenas, which is the mode used in esport competitions, as in most MOBAs.

An international success?

In the Chinese market alone, Honor of Kings has over 100 million daily players. In fact, it is the first mobile game to have exceeded $10 billion in revenue. Looking at these numbers, we can expect the Honor of Kings global release to be a colossal success.

However, following this announcement, one can legitimately wonder about the competition with Arena of Valor. Indeed, AoV is a MOBA, also developed by TiMi Studios, whose goal was to adapt HoK outside of China.

But with Honor of Kings global release, one wonders if the two can co-exist without cannibalising each other. We'll have to wait until the end of the year to see the result, which will be news in any case.

The HoK universe will literally continue to open up to the world with a sublime open-world, Honor of Kings: World, teased a few months ago. You can already discover its trailer to hyper you in advance!
