Mobile Games News Review | Week of October 11 to 17, 2021

Check out the weekly recap of mobile gaming news on Android and iOS for the week of October 11 to 17, 2021! We'll let you discover it all below. ⬇️

https://youtu.be/2admq3FFqnE

1️⃣ We start with a news item that should appeal to those who like duo games. Get Together: a Coop Adventure will allow you to play as two people, each on your screen and solve puzzles together. If you liked games like We Were Here on PC, you can now enjoy this release on Steam and iOS and later on Android.

2️⃣ Squid Game mobile games are flooding into the Playstore andAppstore but are being removed in waves from the shop pages. To find out more about this tsunami of games inspired by the Netflix series (or outright copied), head to our dedicated article.

3️⃣ Puzzle and enigma game lovers, this is your week as three important news items have been released recently. In addition to Get Together, Moncage mobile, the mobile version of the multi-award winning puzzle game is coming to our smartphones in November. Play with geometry and illusion under your fingers using a cube with faces covered in secrets.

4️⃣ Wild Rift guilds take on the concept of League of Legends clubs. With this patch 2.5, Riot games brings in guilds to bring players together, offering them rewards common activity and bonus XP. A Guild VS Guild mode is also included for even more group interaction.

5️⃣ Latest news on puzzle games, Monument Valley 2's new level The Lost Forest appears like a Pokémon wild, by surprise, in a free update. UsTwo Games has been teasing their interest in green and trees for a few days. And now we understand better where they were coming from! For those who have finished the game or the curious among you, this is an opportunity to (re)discover a mobile game nugget with an impossible perspective.

6️⃣ The popular board game Taboo is coming to mobile. Taboo joins the roster of board games adapted for smartphones by Marmalade. We think of Cluedo or Monopoly, to name a few. This time you can play Taboo on video chat to try to make your friends guess words even from a distance.

7️⃣ The special Hearthstone Mercenaries game mode makes its grand launch. Experience a mode that brings a welcome freshness and different strategic depth to Blizzard's trading card game while also bringing back the more classic heroes.

8️⃣ To conclude this recap, a little justice in this crazy world? Epic Games finally admits to pumping Among Us for its Fortnite Impostors game mode. It didn't take a genius to see that. However, one imagines that the negative impact of this move on the image of Fortnite and Epic Games (which in most cases is seen as supporting us lowly folk, indie devs and small entities that also have a right to a voice and a fairer video game world) must have spurred them into action. The good news, aside from this recognition for Innersloth, is that Fortnite and Among Us are probably working on an official collaboration between the two games right now.

Be sure to check out the latest mobile game releases to see what's new! See you next week for fresh news on your favourite mobile games. 😃
