Monument Valley 3 in development at UsTwo Games

After the resounding success of the first two games in the Monument Valley series, it would have been a shame for UsTwo Games not to work on a Monument Valley 3. But it is in development!

Monument Valley 3 makes its way

You may have been looking forward to it since your first excursions into the magical world of paradoxical geometry... You now have the confirmation that a Monument Valley 3 is indeed in development!

Having first seen our little heroine explore forgotten territories on her own, and then having taken her and her daughter to the far reaches of minimalist worlds, it is impossible to know what narrative direction the game will take. On the other hand, as far as the art direction is concerned, it is unlikely that the studio will make any major changes. After all, that's what makes the game so beautiful!

For the more curious among you, you should know that among the geometric paradoxes that inspired the creators of the game are "Waterfall" and "Relativity" by M.C. Escher.

You can really feel that the atmosphere is not the same but the ideas have been well integrated into the artistic direction of the game to offer pleasant puzzles without neglecting the visual aspect!

This third opus, which is hoped to be a worthy successor to the other two titles in the series, has been making its way since last July. I'll let you see it in the official tweet published by UsTwo Games:

While we wait to know more about the release date of Monument Valley 3, why not take a run at the first two games, available on both android and iOS, just to wait.

They each offer their own mechanics: even if the totem is still useful in 1 and 2, you can take advantage of some new interactions, for example with the light that makes the plants grow in the second title.

By the way, get Monument Valley 2 for free in these confined times. It'll give you a chance to get that brain working, even when you're at home with the whole family!
