For some time, a project for a new Ni No Kuni mobile MMORPG has been in the air. Its progress was surely delayed by the health crisis and the community was patient in getting a video preview. However, in the space of a few weeks, things have accelerated and Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds has released a second, very enticing trailer. It's well delivered and fulfils all its functions. We learn more about thestory of the game and we want to know more!
It's not a surprise, but the short 2 minute video confirms all the good things we already thought about the game's graphics. It makes you wonder if it's a game or an anime! The soundtrack is not to be outdone and promises a thrilling setting for the adventure. As impatient as players are, there is no official release date yet.
The latest Ni No Kuni trailer reveals a little more about the story's setting and plot. We already knew that players would be playing as beta testers of a game. A bit like Sword Art Online, where the real and virtual worlds are mixed together. However, we learn that this dive into the virtual world is done through a technological device called "Soul Dive". This is not very reassuring, as it immerses you in a plasma liquid. Moreover, this machine is controlled by a multitude of scientists in white coats... Friends or enemies, you'll have to play Ni No Kuni to find out!
The quality of the graphics faithfully serves this scenario where the limits of reality are not well defined. It is understandable that the hero, but also the players, quickly get lost. We can guess from the trailer that the supposedly real world is futuristic with levitating cars. The game world seems rather medieval with classic weapons (swords, bows, spears, etc.) and magic.
The trailer forNi No Kuni: Cross Worlds doesn't give us any more information about the official release date. However, the studio Level-5 has stated that the MMORPG is scheduled for release in late 2020 in Japan. It will be available directly on Android and iOS, a first for a mobile version of this saga. In the past, it was necessary to use a third-party application, which was not always downloadable outside Japan.
This remains an unknown. It is not known if there will be an additional delay for the global release or even if all languages will be available! To be continued 😉
