Pokémon Unite adds Espeon as a new attacker

Added to the Espeon roster in Pokémon Unite

Over the past few months, Nintendo's MOBA has been under the microscope by dataminers looking for more and more information. So we've known for a while that Delphox and Espeon are coming to Pokémon Unite, but now the release date for one of them is known! We tell you all about the type of fighter that will be Espeon.

When is Espeon releasing in Pokémon Unite?

Eeveeis definitely a Pokémon favoured by Nintendo, with all its evolutions, and seems to be the perfect target to reach the fans' heart. It is therefore quite logical to see Espeon in Pokémon Unite, after the arrival of Sylveon. Let's hope that all the evolutions ofEeveewill also have their hour of glory in the Unite arena.

In terms of gameplay, Espeon will be a novice difficulty ranged attacker. Although he shares his basic moveset with Sylveon via their relationship, his psychic type makes him a game-changer while the other evolution needs assistance to deploy its full power. This will be an important change when he evolves on the field.

For more details on Espeon from Pokémon Unite, we'll have to wait for the fighter's launch trailer to discover how to use his in-game skills. In any case, it is certain that this Pokémon, whose appearance dates back to the Gold and Silver games in 1999, will rekindle a bit of nostalgia in some people with his very recognizable sun gem. He will be the 35th Pokémon to join the Unite arena roster. Individually, it is listed at entry 196 in the Pokédex, between Quagsire and Umbreon.

Pokémon Unite adds Espeon after Sylveon

Finally, you can play Espeon in Pokémon Unite from 16 May 2022. From its release date, Espeon will be available like the other fighters via an Aeos coin-op purchase, although the price is not yet known. Stay tuned for more news on the game as we await the moveset reveal trailer for Espeon. We'll also keep an eye out for the future release of Delphox.

Yaya Yaya would never have spent a single cent on a mobile game. At least, that's what the legend says.
