Not being able to balance the TFT meta since the beginning of the set 7, Riot Games has just announced the TFT patch 12.14 arrival. And the least we can say is that this update resets the counters to zero since no champion is spared. Let's discover together the changes of traits, champions, augments and items.
Let's start the TFT patch 12.14 changes with the traits. This is not the aspect that is the most changed, but we note all the same the buffs of the traits Warrior and Dragonmancer to make them more playable, as well as the Guild champions nerf with a focus on the bonus given by Talon to his teammates.
Traits | TFT patch 12.14 traits buffs |
---|---|
Scalescorn | The damage bonus increases from 15/50/100% to 15/50/125%. |
Astral | The chance to get an item with 9 Astrals increases from 30% to 75%. |
Dragonmancer | The base power bonus increases from 15/35/60 to 18/40/70. |
Guardian | The shield is improved from 30/45/65% to 30/50/75% of HP. |
Warrior | The attack damage bonus is reduced from 120/220/420% to 80/175/325, but the chance to trigger it increases from 33% to 50%. |

Cavalier | Damage based on HP increases from 10/20/30/45% to 5/20/35/50%. |
Jade | The armor and magic resist bonus is reduced from 40/60/80/100 to 35/65/95/125. |

Tempest | Fireworks damage is reduced from 130/160/210/280 to 110/150/210/290. |
The biggest change in the TFT patch 12.14 concerns champions. The damage increase a champion gets when they move up to higher star levels is reduced from 80% to 50%. For example, where a one star champion with 50 damage was doing 90 and 162 in two and three stars, it will now only have 75 and 112.5 with this new patch to set 7.
This is a major shift that will drastically reduce the three-star champions impact, and at the same time increase legendary champions importance.
