Razor is a 4-star Electro hero that is played as a physical DPS. He has little relevance as a support and takes up a lot of field time. We've written this detailed guide to Razor from Genshin Impact to help you give him the best build. Our tips and tricks will tell you which artifacts and weapons to equip him with, which teams to play him in, etc.
You can unlock Razor by making wishes on Character Event Wish or Standard Wish.
You are more likely to summon Razor in Genshin Impact when he is featured in an Character Event Wish as was the case from 19 April to 10 May 2022 in Ayaka 's Banner: The Heron’s Court.
Razor's early constellations only slightly increase his damage. In contrast, his C4 Bite reduces enemies' defence by 15% for 7 seconds when you cast Razor's elemental attack on single support.
And the C6 Lupus Fulguris charges Razor's weapon with Electro every 10 seconds. His next normal attack will generate Electro damage equal to 100% of his ATK.
Razor is played as the main DPS. He deals mostly physical damage with his normal and charged attacks. He will do more damage with his Lightning Fang elemental rampage. You should therefore try to activate it as often as possible.
To quickly charge the ability, use Razor's elemental attack Claw and Thunder. On short press, Razor deals Electro damage to enemies and gets an Electro Sigils when the attack hits. Each seal grants him a 20% energy recharge bonus. On a long press, Razor will produce an electrical explosion, causing area Electro damage. It will also remove all seals to turn them into elemental energy. It is recommended that you perform two single presses, then one charged press.
With his elemental rampage, Razor summons a wolf that deals Electro damage and converts all seals into elemental energy. The wolf fights with Razor for 15 seconds. From then on, it will launch Electro attacks when Razor performs a normal attack, increasing its attack speed, Electro resistance, Interrupt resistance and making it immune to Electro damage. However, Razor can no longer make a charged attack. The wolf disappears if Razor leaves the battlefield, but the remaining time is converted into elemental energy (up to 10 points).
To do maximum damage, the trick is to improve all of Razor's talents, with priority given to his normal attack.
Razor is a physical DPS, so our advice is to augment this stat with his artifacts to get a good build. Find out in this guide the best artifacts and weapons to equip on Razor in Genshin Impact.
One of Razor's best artifact equipment choices is the 4-piece Pale Flame set. With 2 pieces, you will get a 25% physical damage bonus and with 4 pieces, when an elemental skill hits an enemy, the ATK increases by 9% for 7 seconds. This effect can be cumulated twice. In this case, the 2-coin bonus is increased by 100%.
The 4-piece Gladiator's Finale set increases damage by 18% and normal attack damage by 35% if the character is equipped with a one-handed sword, two-handed sword or hast weapon.
To focus on physical damage, you can opt for 2 pieces of Pale Flame and 2 pieces of Bloodstained Chivalry to accumulate a 50% physical damage bonus.
If you are just starting out, the Martial Artist artefact set can be used: 2 coins increase the damage of normal and charged attacks by 15%, while with 4 coins, the damage of normal and charged attacks is increased by 25% after using an elemental skill.
When in doubt, opt for the equipment sets with the best statistics:
