Black Clover mobile has been a long time coming but the hype hasn't died down

Garena is finally releasing Black Clover M: Rise of the Wizard King on mobile on 30 November. But this is not the first time the game has announced a release date. Things have been dragging on since 2022, with the launch postponed several times, closed betas regionally taking place in November last year and pre-registrations opening in May when the game was already being released in Asia. Fortunately, the global launch of the game is just around the corner!

With over 5 million players pre-registered, Black Clover M is one of the most hyped phone games of 2023, and understandably so. The anime is still very popular, and its shonen atmosphere lends itself well to the grind of a free-to-play 3D gacha RPG. If you'd like to give it a try, just head over to the Playstore or App Store to download Black Clover M: Rise of the Wizard King.

Everything you need to know about Black Clover M: Rise of the Wizard King: gameplay, story and rewards

Black Clover mobile is a gacha RPG with graphics reminiscent of Genshin Impact and its stylish cel-shading. The story is the same as in the original anime: Asta and Yuno, two young orphans taken in by a church, explore their magical powers (or lack of them, in Asta's case) in the hope of ascending to the throne of the next Wizard King. There are also the voice-overs that have marked the series and the unique skills of the characters from the different companies, such as Mimosa and her healing through plants.

The Golden Dawn and Black Bull companies will be battling it out for the release of Black Clover M, but if you've pre-registered for the game, you've already got bonus rewards to give you an early advantage:

  • 1x Mimosa SR,

  • 30 stamina points,

  • 10 Potato Pops,

  • 300 free black crystals,

  • 20 link summoning tickets.

For additional benefits, I recommend you take a look at our Black Clover M code list, where you can activate free bonuses.

In terms of gameplay, this is an immersive RPG with team building in gacha mode. You need to create a complete team by taking synergies into account, optimising your inventory, unlocking the right skills and forging strong bonds between your characters. If you make the right choices, you'll be able to dominate single-player PvE as well as outclass bosses in multiplayer and your human opponents in competitive PvP. The grind of the Black Clover Mobile ladder is just waiting for you.

However, the game also offers a wide range of activities outside of combat, such as gathering ingredients for cooking and playing cards. So there's plenty to keep you busy.

A wave of anime mobile games that hasn't yet revealed everything

The release of Black Clover M: Rise of the Wizard King joins a long list of anime licences that have been popular on phones this year. Gamers were treated to two adaptations of Tower of God, as well as ports of Code Geass: Lost Stories and Danmachi: Battle Chronicle. Regional exclusives such as Kuroko's Basket and Fullmetal Alchemist complete the picture.

However, there are still some major titles on the horizon for 2023. They've already been announced and could be coming to phones by the end of the year. They include Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade due for release in November, Seven Deadly Sins: Origin which will be on show at G-Star 2023, and whose open-world is the stuff of dreams, and Solo Leveling: Arise, which has been teasing fans for months. To make sure you don't miss any of these anime game releases on your phone, follow the JeuMobi news and don't forget to download Black Clover M: Rise of the Wizard King to add it to your collection.
