Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge on mobile for Netflix subscribers

After a release this summer on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Sitch and PC, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is coming to mobile. Available on iOS and Android exclusively via Netflix Games, this game pays tribute to the games of the 90s, both in its gameplay and graphics.

TMNT: Shredder's Revenge is a side-scrolling beat 'em up inspired by the console and arcade games of the 80s and 90s in which you progress by defeating your enemies. In command of Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael, but also of their sidekicks Master Splinter, April O'Neil and Casey Jones, you will have to defeat Shredder's troops and reach the big bad Krang.

For this, you have at your disposal a whole range of combos by combining moves, holds and directions. If the title borrows the gameplay basis of the previous games, this one is largely expanded in the range of available moves, but also in the level design which has much more depth.

Graphics faithful to the cartoon and the old games

Visually, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge on mobile adopts a very fine pixel-art style that offers beautiful graphics in an aesthetic that is close to the cartoons of the 80s and 90s, especially in the cinematics. From the map between levels to the selection of characters, many easter eggs will please fans of NES and Super Nintendo games.

You'll find many secondary characters as well as iconic locations from the IP in the Story Mode of TMNT: Shredder's Revenge on mobile. If you're looking for more difficulty, the Arcade mode features limited lives and credits with no progress save, for a true arcade experience.

The nervous soundtrack fits very well with the arcade atmosphere with frenetic music that pushes you to beat your score in each level. The game also invites you to do the levels several times to complete the challenges and find all the objects.

For those of you who don't have a Netflix subscription, the game is also available on Android and iOS via Game Pass Ultimate, which allows you to play the PC and console version on mobile.

That's it for our first impressions of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge on mobile, exclusively for Netflix subscribers. And if you want to discover other games recently released on Netflix Games, we recommend Immortality and Oxenfree.
