The Korean Clash of Clans team Vatang validated this week its ticket for the next Worlds! This competition, which will once again feature a $1 million cash prize, will have a special taste this year.
Last year, Nova won the title against the French team MCES in an electric atmosphere in Hamburg. But since then, Covid-19 has come and gone, and it's not known under what conditions the competition will take place this year... There are only 6 places for the World Championships. No one gets a free pass and you have to get your ticket via one of the 6 qualifiers (of 8 teams). To be part of the 8 teams, it is necessary to be in the 4 best teams of the "In-Game War League" or theESL Play Cup. It is therefore a real obstacle course to qualify and nothing is left to chance.

The title holders are still not guaranteed to participate in the 2020 edition. Fortunately for them, there are still 4 qualifiers and as many golden tickets left to take.

Continuation of qualifications on 28 August

In addition to Vatang, we are sure to see the German team ALTERNATE aTTaX at the next Worlds. Indeed, the latter won the first qualifier from theESL Play Cup. With the pandemic, the organisation has fallen behind and there is no time to lose. The next qualifying round will start on 28 August.
