House of the Dragon: DracARys, the application to raise your dragon
Have you always wanted to raise a dragon? Your wish will soon be granted as HBO and Warner have just announced the House of the Dragon: DracARys app. Train your companion, take care of him to make him grow and you will be able to order him to spit fire by pronouncing the magic word.
An application to accompany the highly anticipated GoT prequel
Announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, House of the Dragon: DracARys is a promotional augmented reality app for the Game of Thrones prequel, which takes place several hundred years before the events we discovered in the series.
The series, based on the Fire and Blood novel by George R. R. Martin, will air on HBO beginning August 21 and will feature the Targaryen family during the reign of King Viserys I.
If you're familiar with the GoT universe, you know that the Targaryen family has a special bond with dragons. We'll learn more about this as there were far more dragons roaming the skies of Westeros at the time. Now that the context is set, let's see what the application will be able to do.
House of the Dragon: DracARys application features
Like the famous Tamagochi, you will start with a dragon egg. Once it hatches, you'll have to feed it and take care of it so that it grows in the best conditions.
During its evolution, it will learn to fly, but also to breathe fire. He will also be able to use it to cook his own food. For the moment, we don't have the details of the interactions that it will be possible to make with the dragons.
As the capitalized AR in the title indicates, House of the Dragon: DracARys relies on augmented reality to integrate dragons into your environment. Thus, you will be able to take pictures of them in all the settings of your daily life.
So much for the announcement of the House of the Dragon: DracARys app. We don't know when it will be available on iOS and Android, but some lucky people at Comic-Con will have the chance to get early access. While waiting to enjoy this app, you can still immerse yourself in the world of Westeros with Game of Thrones: Beyond The Wall.
