Cover recap of mobile games news February 2022 n1

Check out the weekly recap of mobile gaming news on Android and iOS for the week of 31 January to 6 February 2022! We'll let you read it all below. ⬇️

1️⃣ Sony is buying Bungie, the developers of Destiny, for $3.6 billion. Following Microsoft's purchase of Blizzard Activision King, this acquisition continues to strengthen the industry's biggest players at the top of the video game industry food chain. On the industry side too, we note that India has decided to invest in animation and gaming with a dedicated budget, according to Nirmala Sitharaman (Indian Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs), which is quite logical when we know that the mobile gaming market alone in India represents 1.5 billion dollars in revenues and will probably grow to more than 5 billion dollars by 2025. Moreover, we note the appearance on the 2022 release calendar of the game Indus, a Battle Royale title inspired by Indian lore but with a futuristic twist and developed by the Indian studio SuperGames (also).

2️⃣ Andrew Wilson, the CEO of Electronic Arts, has confirmed the opening of the closed test beta of Battlefield mobile later this month. Players who were able to get their hands on the previous test phase were disappointed with their experience. It is hoped that this additional beta will be more convincing.

3️⃣ Last week, we told you about PUBG mobile's Aftermath map from update 1.8. This time, a devtalk livestream around the game reveals the ambition to produce new Cheerpark activities to make the title a true social hub to befriend other players.

4️⃣ To make sure you don't miss out on any of this month's events, we suggest you find the Pokémon GO events calendar for February 2022 in our dedicated article.

5️⃣ Now you can use "Hey Siri" to cast spells Harry Potter on your iPhone. Do you dream of turning on your torch with a simple Lumos? Or even preparing your own spells? We tell you how to do it all in detail.

6️⃣ The announcement of Apex Legends mobile 's soft launch start has pleased BR PC fans and mobile game enthusiasts alike, and we hope to get our hands on it soon!

7️⃣ Starborne mobile, an interagency strategy game, is expected to arrive on mobile and PC in mid-2022.

8️⃣ Pre-registration for NOISZ STARLIVHT, a very special musical bullet hell, is open.

9️⃣ Attack on Titan: Brave Order will be released in Japan on February 11. Until then, the game is available for pre-registration on its official website.

🔟 With Activision's review, we find out that King is reportedly making more than Blizzard, that a new Warcraft game is in the works for mobile and that there are rumours of a potential Overwatch mobile game.

1️⃣1️⃣ Game over for Marvel Realm of Champions as the game will close at the end of March 2022. Since its launch in December 2022, the 3v3 MOBA from Kabam (the studio behind the very good Shop Titans game) had managed to convince some players, but not enough to keep them loyal in numbers until the beginning of 2022. As an online game, without a server, you won't be able to access new games once the game is closed.

1️⃣2️⃣ Summoners War: Sky Arena is now available on Facebook Gaming for US-based players. This means that all you have to do is go to the fb.gg/play page on Android or PC to launch the game, without installation. While this news may not directly concern you, it can be expected that cloud offerings will move closer to various publishers with the development of the metaverse, to ensure a large amount of quality content available to all and supported by an existing community.

1️⃣3️⃣ Hextech Mayhem is finally added to the list of Netflix mobile games. Therefore, if you have a Netflix account with an active subscription plan, you can try the rhythm game from Riot Forge for free on your smartphone!

1️⃣4️⃣ Genshin Impact 's 2.5 update is revealed with a great trailer We'll detail all the patch info in a detailed article soon, for the release of the MAJ.

1️⃣5️⃣ RL Sideswipe launches its S2 all about spinning goals and eager volleyball games.

Be sure to check out the latest mobile game releases to see what's new! See you next week for fresh news on your favourite mobile games. 😃
