League of Legends is one of the most popular games in the world. While the Teamfight Tactics mode is available on mobile, the classic LoL game mode is only played on PC. But Riot Gamesthe game's development studio, is working on a mobile version. This one, named LoL: Wild Rift, is still in development.
The project is progressing well and in a recent video, Riot Games revealed more about the game. Gameplay, test process, cosmetics, features, etc. Find out in this article what you need to know!
Lol: Wild Rift will offer a gameplay experience that is similar to the classic PC version. The principle remains the same, with the same champions, skills and items.
In terms of adaptation, there are two elements to highlight. On the one hand, to replace the mouse and keyboard, players will direct themselves and activate their skills using two touch-sensitive joysticks integrated into the game screen. This requires a bit of dexterity to get used to, but it remains true to the classic gameplay.
On the other hand, the mobile player often has less time than the PC player. They often play in a less comfortable position, for example in public transport. Therefore, Riot Games has calculated that Wild Rift games should last between 15 and 20 minutes. On the PC, games often last around 30 minutes. The map will therefore be smaller and the character stats slightly different.
There is no official release date announced yet. But a closed test phase will be launched next week. Bad luck for us, only Brazilian and Filipino players who have pre-registered will have access to the game for 2 weeks. They will then give feedback to the development team who will integrate their game experience.
In the test version, 36 champions will be available. The current game has almost 150 champions, but eventually all the characters should bridge the gap between the PC and the mobile version.
The mobile version Lol: Wild Rift follows the same business model as League of Legends. A free-to-play game where you can only buy cosmetic elements for the pleasure of your eyes. Although there is nothing compulsory in the progression, these elements will nevertheless seduce players.
Like the champions, skins will take some time to be fully integrated into the mobile version. For now we know that skins like Vayne with the pure Crossbow and Blitzcrank Battle Boss will be available soon, to the delight of future fans.
