Every second of gaming must be worthwhile, so the JeuMobi editorial team has put together a selection of the best mobile games of May 2024. These free and premium quality titles were released in April, but are sure to complete your collection and are available now on Android or iOS.

Must-try mobile games in May

With dozens of releases a day on the various games shops, it's hard to keep track. So we've gone through it all for you, and here are the best releases of the past month to try out over the next 30 days:

  • Dadish 3D, a platformer inspired by Mario and Crash Bandicoot in the low-poly world of Daddy Radish;
  • Loop Hero, an old-school pixel art roguelike from Playdigious 😍 ;
  • Quetzi, the extremely colourful snake based on Aztec mythology;
  • Astra: Knights of Veda, a 2.5D side-scrolling RPG set in a dark fantasy world;
  • Slash Quest, a cute game where the sword decides who you kill;
  • Clash Island Save the Dwarves, a copy of the island defence game Bad North ;
  • Blue Lock PWC, a Football Manager Lite for fans of the anime;
  • Home, Planet and Hunters, a combo of action RPGs and retro pixel art games;
  • Rumble Club, an arena game with power-ups and punches;
  • And Dragon POW! is a bullet hell game with a dragon swallowing deadly projectiles.

And before I tell you about our favourites of the month, I'd like to remind you that we have a page featuring the very latest mobile games for those who like to be ahead of the trends.

The JeuMobi Team's Picks

This month we've fallen for two great new games. Make room on your storage space because these mobile games are going to be hard to resist.

Wildfrost mobile ❄️

Wildfrost, an eternal winter, has ravaged everything except the town of Snowdell, which is home to the last survivors. This roguelite TCG is divided into runs that allow you to create a unique deck. You start by choosing a tribal leader with random stats and skills before setting out to conquer the wilderness.

Develop the power of your companions and discover the turn-based counter system, which makes for highly strategic confrontations. Turn-by-turn combat means there's a time lag between what you do and when you do it, so you can plan your moves well in advance. And if you're desperate to strike first, simply change your counter to shift everything!

Wildfrost promises endless replayability with superb graphics. And its expanses of snow are waiting to be explored on mobile for just £10.

Boxes: Lost Fragments 🗝️

As a master thief, there's no mechanism you can't use. In Boxes: Lost Fragments, you must prove your talent and enter a mansion to steal all its riches. Each level of this puzzle game is made up of interlocking mechanisms that will remind you of The House of Da Vinci if you know anything about that licence. Everything is on a miniature scale and can be folded and unfolded like a complex doll's house.

Doors meets origami for an effective cocktail that will force you to rack your brains over some original machines. Play the first 10 levels for free and unlock the rest of the game for €8 on Android and iOS.

Thank you for reading this far. I hope you enjoy your gaming sessions this month.
