Baizhu is a Gacha character in the Genshin Impact version 3.6 update. You can only get him in Character Event Banners, which feature a 5-star character for an estimated 20 days. Additionally, if you aim to unlock his best in-slot weapon, it is simultaneously featured in the Weapon character as Baizhu’s Banner.
Baizhu is the featured 5-star character in the Character Event Wish Banner of Genshin Impact version update 3.6. It was officially released on May 2, 2023, during the second phase of Version Update 3.6 of Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact Baizhu can conjure Dendro energy outside the battlefield. In addition, he is highly skilled in providing consistent healing and shielding support to his team. Although C0 Baizhu is already a valuable unit, his Constellations have the potential to enhance his usefulness even more.
That said, looking into Genshin Impact Baizhu Constellations makes us think it is worth investing in. Among his many abilities, his most notable ones are his C2 and C6. These abilities allow him to wield a potent and dependable off-field Dendro application, all without the need to use any Elemental Skill or Burst. While his C1 and C4 are still valuable, we must view them as Constellations that should be acquired naturally rather than explicitly aiming for them on Baizhu in Genshin Impact.
Baizhu is a Dendro Catalyst user who focuses on building HP artifacts to support and heal his team. His healing makes him a good support that also gives Dendro particles, making him a good battery for another Dendro character. On the other hand, Baizhu’s shield, which comes from his elemental burst, is excellent, especially for on-field DPS characters, because of its resistance to interruption, teamwide healing, and off-field Dendro application.
Being a healer, he prioritizes specific stats for optimal performance. These include HP percentage, Energy Recharge percentage, and Healing Bonus percentage. Baizhu's attacks have limited range and deal relatively low damage, which makes it unwise to push Baizhu into a DPS role. Although his Dendro application may not be particularly noteworthy, several aspects of his kit prove advantageous for teams prioritizing Dendro reactions.
Moreover, the energy needs of Baizhu are enormous. If your Baizhu doesn't have a unique weapon like Prototype Amber, Jadefall's Splendor (his signature), or Favonius Codex, you can invest in an Energy Recharge of 180% to 200 %.
Electro characters, particularly Fischl, already work well with Dendro characters, reducing the need for energy-rich teams like these, solving one of Baizhu’s problems, such as having a vast Energy cost for his Elemental Burst.
In this alternate Baizhu gameplay, we’ll focus on having the most Elemental Mastery throughout his build. Mainly because we’re using his normal attacks, necessary to create Dendro reactions, such as Bloom, Hyperbloom, spread, and Burgeon.
This Genshin Impact Baizhu build is basically a DPS build because of how Dendro reactions work. You can get mid to high damage just by putting a lot of Elemental Mastery when doing Dendro reactions. And due to his Dendro-infused normal attacks, this playstyle can be efficiently utilized by Baizhu. Additionally, to top it off, Baizhu’s first ascension passive, Five Fortunes Forever, means that whenever Baizhu has an HP equal to or above 50%, he will gain an additional 25% Dendro Damage Bonus, which can also Boost his overall damage.
The primary stats we need for Baizhu are HP Percentage, Energy Recharge, and Healing Bonus Percentage in his Artifacts set to ramp up his healing and shielding capabilities. However, the artifacts you'll be needing is dependent on the playstyle that you will opt for.
For a support Baizhu, Deepwood Memories is one of his best artifact sets thus far because of its capability to shred Dendro Resistance and inflict Dendro Damage. Also, this Artifact set sets up other builds as well, such as Dendro Driver Baizhu or Main Burst DPS Baizhu.
If you want to make Baizhu a full healer, you should opt for a Maiden Beloved Artifact set. With its 4-piece, you can get 20% increased received healing for all your team members whenever Baizhu uses his Elemental Burst or Elemental Skill.
The Main stats that you should go for:
Sands Piece: HP Percentage, Elemental Master, or Energy Recharge (Depends on what you need most);
Goblet: HP Percentage, Elemental Mastery, or Dendro Damage Bonus;
Circlet: HP Percentage, Elemental Mastery, Critical Rate or Critical Damage.
Substats that you should focus on:
In order to complete our Genshin Impact Baizhu build, we must select the best weapons to use for him, so here are the 5-star weapon choices for Baizhu:
Jadefall's Splendor is Baizhu’s best-in-slot weapon, as it helps him boost several attributes such as HP Percentage, Energy regeneration, and an Elemental Damage Bonus based on the user’s HP;
Despite its HP Percentage substat, which is the best substat for a healer like Baizhu, Everlasting Moonglow weapon can only be efficiently utilized if Baizhu is played like a Dendro Driver because of its talent, which increases the normal attacks of the user.
To get Genshin Impact Baizhu to level 90, you need to gather the following materials:
1 Shard, 9 Fragments, 9 Chunks, and 6 Gemstones of Nagadus Emerald as well as 46 Evergloom Ring that you can obtain from defeating the Iniquitous Baptist;
18 Fungal Spores, 30 Luminescent Pollen, and 36 Crystalline Cyst Dust, which you can obtain from defeating Fungi enemies;
420,000 Mora and 168 Violetgrass, which you can find scattered in Liyue. Locate them with the help of interactive map of Liyue.
In this last part of our Genshin Impact Baizhu guide, we’ll tackle the best teams to play with Baizhu. These include groups for Baizhu to be the main DPS or the healer/support of the team.
According to our Genshin Impact Baizhu guide, Baizhu excels on Dendro reaction teams, especially Bloom Teams. Nahida is there for additional Elemental Mastery and Dendro Resonance. Nilou offers additional Bloom damage for the team while applying Hydro to the enemy, while Yelan further applies Hydro and additional damage after his burst has been activated.
In this team composition, it focuses on Spread and Aggravate Damage. Nahida is also here for the Dendro Resonance, consistently applying Dendro for the team. Yae Miko and Fischl for more firepower while also being off-field damage dealers. That said, Baizhu fits into this team by being the Dendro on-field character, dealing moderate damage from Spread while providing teamwide healing.
Genshin Impact Baizhu’s age is not officially confirmed, but there’s a certain amount of information to estimate what Baizhu’s age really is. Baizhu is considered a "grown man" by the locals of Li Yue Harbor, and his life accomplishments only corroborate this estimation.
The owner of a large medicine shop and one of the Geo Kingdom's wisest inhabitants is at least 25 years old. Moreover, Baizhu’s birthdate, according to Genshin Impact, is April 25.
That’s the end of our Genshin Impact Baizhu guide. To conclude our guide, we must say that Baizhu is an A-tier for his substantial healing, shielding, and resistance to interruption. While healing and supporting, he can also deal damage if you’re desperate to find a good Dendro Driver. Baizhu is also suitable for new players, given that they’ve already unlocked Sumeru for materials, as he only needs HP, ER, or EM for his main stats, depending on which role he plays.
