PUBG Mobile Global Championship finals to begin soon

PMGC cover

The finals of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship(PMGC) start in a few days. The 16 teams are in the starting blocks and most of the participants have already arrived in Dubai, the venue for the competition. The global pandemic has not made it easy to organise this large-scale tournament, but it has been maintained as best it can and spectators are now expecting a great show! However, patience will be required before the champions are crowned. The PMGC finals are spread over 3 days during which 24 matches will be played. It will be necessary to aim for regularity in order to win the royal victory.

PUBG Mobile is hoping to use the esport competition as a showcase. To encourage the community to follow the PMGC while paying tribute to its best players, the game has introduced esport in-game cards to be won. It's up to you to complete your collection and win cards featuring your favourite players!

The end of the competition is coming soon!

16 teams for the PMGC throne

The competition will be tough and it is difficult to predict the future winner of the PMGC. All 16 teams have a chance and can dream of the final victory. For our part, we are not sure who to support... There will be no French player in the competition. Therefore, we may have to fall back on the Russian team, which represents our closest neighbour.

Unsurprisingly, there is a majority ofAsian teams (Mongolia, China, Thailand, Indonesia, etc.) in the PMGC finals. This is not surprising given that the game is particularly popular in Asian countries. Once again, the Indians will be absent from the competition. India and China are still in conflict and PUBG Mobile is still banned by the Indian government.

Suk, Kong, Dee... Who do you have in your collection?

Collectable cards esport

Tencent had announced it a long time ago, but with the postponement of the PMGC, we had not yet had the opportunity to see the esport cards in the flesh. With the extra time, the Chinese giant has had time to fine-tune the details and the result is there. The esport cards featuring the players have arrived and can be collected in-game. Each card represents a player and is dependent on the player's performance during the League Stage leading up to the final.

Each player has a theoretical power calculated according to their different stats: Kill, Damage, Headshot, Survival and Knock. A nice wink that should make competitors happy 😉
