Starting December 20, 2023, Genshin Impact 4.3 Update will bring forth the new Geo 5-star character, Navia from Fontaine. Alongside her arrival, the new patch will also mark the return of three DPS characters hailing from Inazuma; Ayaka, Yoimiya and Raiden Shogun.
This article will entail every content that's about to come for Genshin Impact Version 4.3, including the new characters, events, quests, artifacts, TCG, updates and more.
From December 20, 2023 to January 9, 2024, the new character Navia, and Ayaka will be available in the Featured banner for a limited time period.
Since it's been a while since players have seen a 5-star Geo damage-dealer, there will undoubtedly be a lot of excitement surrounding her arrival. Navia is the brand-new Geo Claymore character from Fontaine. She is an Ousia-aligned on-field DPS who capitalizes on Elemental Crystal Shards from the Crystallize reaction to dish out large amounts of Geo damage. Interestingly, Navia is set to be the first Geo on-field DPS who will not benefit from a mono-geo team.
Ayaka is also set to make her return in Genshin Impact. As a 5-star character from Inazuma, she excels in dealing both single-target and AOE Cryo damage through her normal attacks, elemental skills, and burst.
It will also be accompanied by the weapon banner, featuring Ayaka and Navia's weapon; Mistplitter Reforged and Verdict.
For the second part of Genshin Impact 4.3, Raiden Shogun, the 5-star Electro Archon, and Yoimiya, the 5-star Pyro bow DPS, will be return temporarily from January 10 to January 30, 2024. Apart from the return of these characters, Chevreuse, a 4-star Pyro support will join the fray.
Chevreuse is a polearm-wielder Pyro character holding a musket, capable of dealing Pyro AOE damage, and restoring health. Aside from these, Chevreuse is a perfect addition to Overload teams thanks to her ability to decrease the Electro and Pyro resistance of the opponents.
The two Inazuma characters' signature weapons; Engulfing Lightning and Thundering Pulse will also be available.
The new patch will also introduce two brand-new artifact sets; Song of Days Past and Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods.
The first set, Song of the Days Past provides healing bonus when equipping two pieces of the set. On the other hand, completing the artifact set allows players to have the Yearning effect upon healing a party member, which lasts for six seconds. For this duration, it will record the total healing before transforming into the "Waves of Days Past" effect. This effect boosts the damage of normal, charged, elemental skill and elemental burst by 8% of the total healing amount recorded by the Yearning effect.
And for players pulling for Navia, the second set is certainly a must-have. Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods increases attack by 18%. Additionally, it boosts Geo damage by 20%, which further increases by 150% while under a shield provided by the Crystallize reaction.
There won't be an archon quest available this time around. But players and upcoming Navia-mains will be able to discover the story of Navia, Rosa Multiflora Chapter: Act I. This will also entail the story of the Fontaine organization led by Navia, the Spina di Rosula and its plans of rebuilding Poisson.
The new Genshin Impact 4.3 is filled to the brim with exciting events featuring action-packed battles, captivating stories, fun puzzles and explorations. Listed down below are the list of events coming in for Genshin Impact 4.3.
Genshin Impact will kick off with a brand-new flagship event revolving around the Fontainilia Film Festival. Players will run into familiar faces such as Furina, Ayaka and Ayato. Interestingly, Chevreuse and the Fashion Designer, Chiori will be making their debut.
In this event, players can win a ton of goodies including Mora, Hero's Wits, Crystals, and Crowns by finishing these four minigames. Ultimately, players can obtain the 4-star weapon, Ultimate Overload's Mega Magic Sword.
Genshin 4.3 also brings forth a new battle event, where building the right team, completing objectives and defeating as many enemies as possible is a must.
In this event, players must pick two teams before the battle starts. The event also requires players to choose one character to deploy for both teams, while making sure that no one else is repeated. Upon completing the objectives per stage, players will receive the Heightened Verve buff.
Meanwhile, Kuki Shinobu and the one and only Arataki Itto are giving Liyue a visit. And after such a long time, Genshin Impact 4.3 will see the return of the infamous Beetle Battle with the ridiculously lengthy name.
This time around, they are set to meet a new beetle battle master, whose identity remains a mystery.
Aside from the the Beetle Battle event, the Lost Riches event and Ulman himself will be arriving in Fontaine.
Take part in this event, collect treasures with the help of Ulman's Treasure Book to gain access to exciting rewards including any pet mini-seelie of choice.
For players who have been playing the game for quite some time, surely they will remember the iconic Liben. In this event, players can trade items each day in exchange for Primogems, level-up, talent materials, mora and more.
On the flip side, players will soon be able to challenge familiar individuals in Fontaine. In addition, brand-new cards will be added including six character cards and five monster cards.
Version 4.3 is also introducing a huge system overhaul and quality-of-life updates providing convenience to players when building their character and progressing through the game.
With the release of the upcoming patch, the system will recommend artifact sets for each character based on the preferences of the players who are now playing. Additionally, it will have improved sorting that makes it easier for players to locate the item they're looking for and an automated locking feature for artifacts with the player's selected stats. Additionally, with the additional slots given, leveling artifacts will enable much faster enhancement.
And speaking of artifacts, artifact farming will become more convenient and faster as the new update will instantly bring the players' character inside the field, next to the key when the player opts to rechallenge. This removes the tedious process of taking the long distance from the entrance of the domain towards the battlefield.
Finally, a one-click expedition is being implemented, enabling players to claim all expedition rewards and dispatch characters with a single push of a button.
For the final addition, a new realm based on Fontaine is being added. Purchase the Swirling Scene in a Bottle from Tubby and dive into Fontaine-style realm, literally.
Unlike the currently existing realms, the new realm is set to be underwater and traveling from one island to another will require players to use the ocean currents.
