When is the release of Genshin Impact 4.4 Update

Genshin Impact 4.4 is slated for a release on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. Prior to maintenance, players can pre-install the latest update before the scheduled maintenance kicks in.

Wish banners for the Genshin Impact 4.4 Update

New patch means a fresh lineup of characters in the wish banner. Here are all Genshin Impact characters that are set to be available in the next patch.

The first phase of Genshin Impact 4.4

From January 31 to February 20, 2024, Cloud Retainer will arrive next patch as a playable character and will walk under the name "Xianyun". Xianyun is an Anemo support, sub-DPS and a healer, surely a versatile one.

Nahida will also appear as a rate-up character for Phase 1. She is the Dendro Archon who deals damage both on and off-field, and the most reliable one when it comes to consistent Dendro application.

Finally, another plunge attack-focused DPS whose name is Gaming will dance into the game. He is a 4-star Pyro Claymore character capable of landing fiery Pyro damage as he plunges into the enemies.

The second phase of Genshin Impact 4.4

Alongside the arrival of Cloud Retainer, or Xianyun, her story quest will also become accessible.

New Boss - Solitary Suanni

In the Genshin 4.4 Livestream, developers have also unveiled a new boss in the overworld. By its description, it is likely that the Solitary Suanni can be found in Chenyu Vale.

The exact location of the new world boss is yet unknown, but players, especially those that are looking to build Xianyun can spot it and face its might as they unlock the new subregion.
