Marvel Snap: the TCG superheroes on Android and iOS

Let's start this week's recap with the release of a highly anticipated trading card game: Marvel Snap. In this fast-paced deck-builder, we discover a gameplay both accessible and complex. Build your team of 12 superheroes and compete against players from all over the world in 1v1 in this original TCG. To elaborate your strategy, take into account the abilities of your cards, but also those of the locations on which you place them.

While your heroes' stats don't change, upgrading your cards changes their appearance, allowing you to increase your collection level, and thus unlock new cards.

In addition to enjoying illustrations from the original comics and visual effects related to the characters, Marvel Snap is a TCG mobile game that you will enjoy playing and will delight players looking for a more affordable alternative toHearthstone or Legends of Runeterra for novices.

Dragonspire: your next roguelite after Dungeon of Gods

After Dungeon of Gods and its overpowered sensations, a new archero or Hades-like game is coming to the mobile market. Developed by Starmi and published by Lionheart Games, Dragonspire is a title with animated graphics, procedural challenges and a wide variety of builds to discover.

One level after another, die, start over, defeat bosses and whole waves of enemies using only your skills. Dragonspire is not available at the moment but is scheduled for an early access release in 2023 on mobile and PC.

55 new Netflix mobile games in the works

With the launch of its gaming section in 2021, Netflix had surprised many people. Now, the American giant's service has more than 35 exclusive games available for free on mobile for its subscribers, but it won't stop there. In a letter to investors in the third quarter of 2023, the company announced that it is working on 55 new Netflix mobile games, some of which would be based on existing licenses in series or film.

Netflix Games ' first year of service has allowed them to discover users' habits, needs and desires to adapt their gaming proposition and they now want to fully engage with cross-media content opportunities by becoming a reference in the mobile gaming space.

As an example, the investor letter cites the launch of the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (viewed for 49 million cumulative hours) as having helped CD Projekt's Cyberpunk game spike on PC, simply because of renewed player interest in cyberpunk content. And Netflix plans to achieve the same with its own games, so get ready for plenty of announcements in the coming months.

Update Tower of Fantasy : Vera 2.0

Released on October 20 on all platforms, Tower of Fantasy's 2.0 update, titled Vera, finally reveals its full content. As we've been telling you since August, this major expansion to HottaStudio's game adds the Vera sector with a desert zone and its new Sand Land storyline that is reminiscent of Egypt before the Cataclysm.

At the same time, you can also explore cyberpunk cities like Mirroria and grey areas. In the heart of these urban labyrinths, you'll find new exploration activities but also games of skill like laser corridor or ball throwing. And it wouldn't be a major expansion without a new character, so you'll now be able to get the simulacrum Ruby and use her powers against the new bosses and raids in this expansion Tower of Fantasy.

We hope to see the emblematic Fatality characters who marked the childhood of many gamers with their humor and violence, and we'll keep you posted on future announcements about Mortal Kombat: Onslaught.

Brawlhalla x Castlevania partnership

While leaks suggest that Neymar and Messi could be part of a future Call of Duty Mobile collaboration, Ubisoft has announced a crossover between Brawlhalla and Castlevania to celebrate the 7th anniversary of its platform fighting game.

The collaboration will add two new characters to the Brawlhalla roster: Simon Belmont, the hero of the Castlevania franchise, and his father, Alucard, who is none other than Dracula's son. Two new Brawl of the Week game modes will also appear in addition to a new map representing Dracula's castle.

Release of Monster Train on iOS in November

Two years after the release of Monster Train on PC and Nintendo Switch, the deck-builder with roguelike mechanics is about to be released on iOS on October 27. Published by Good Shepherd Entertainment and developed by Shiny Shoe, Monster Train has the particularity of offering you to manage simultaneous battles. This version, available for pre-order on the App Store, will include The Last Divinity DLC, with the addition of a new hero faction.

A Microsoft mobile game store in development

If all the big players in the video game industry are placing their pawns on the mobile market, some companies prefer to take over entire pieces of the chessboard. Netflix is making its mark with a catalog of exclusive games that is reinforced every month with small indie nuggets, and Microsoft is planning to open its own mobile game store. With a slight touch of hypocrisy as we like them, Microsoft partly denounces the monopoly of Apple and Google on the distribution of mobile games via their respective stores.

It is therefore the duty of big players in the industry, such as Microsoft, to rid the gentle public of the monopoly of these two GAFAs... It's even funnier when you realize that Microsoft is under scrutiny for its takeover of Activision-Blizzard Zynga, which is forcing more and more towards the monopoly and continues to polarize the video game industry towards its main players.

Release of The Gardens Between on Apple Arcade

Available in paid version since 2018 on Android, iOS and PC, The Gardens Between was released this week on iOS in + version for Apple Arcade subscribers. A good opportunity for those who would have missed this poetic game from the studio The Voxel Agents to discover an adventure filled with puzzles. With an original concept that immerses you in the memories of two teenagers and a soft and dreamy art direction, the only flaw of The Gardens Between is its short life span of about one hour.
