Despite the recent release of Set 10, TFT fans are already looking to the future, with the TFT Set 11 release date on everyone’s mind. Luckily, Riot has already given us a sneak peek at their future plans.
Riot Games’ Executive Producer for Teamfight Tactics gave us a look at the plans for 2024, sharing a TFT roadmap. This included revealing the Set 11 release date, as well as a few interesting events popping up throughout the year.
So far, it has been confirmed that Set 11 will be coming in March 2024, although a specific date has yet to be revealed. We’ll no doubt get an update sooner to the time, with the Set heading to the public testing environment two weeks before its official release.
The Set’s theme has also been hinted at, with the roadmap dubbing Set 11 as “An encounter with myths & legends.” This probably means we’ll be seeing some big lore characters from the League of Legends universe, which could mean the return of Champions like Aurelion Sol and Aatrox.
It may also hint at the return of the Legends mechanic from Set 9, although considering that Legends weren’t all too well-liked by a lot of the player base, they might need some reworking.
Also, it’s important to note that Set formats are now changing. Sets will no longer have mid-set updates and it’s essentially what we see is what we get. This means that themes, units, and features will stay the same over the course of entire Sets and we’ll only get balance updates until the next Set.
As usual, we’ll definitely start to see more information from Riot Games in early 2024 as we get closer and closer to the TFT Set 11 release date.
Alongside Set 11 information, we also have some insight into what will be coming to Teamfight Tactics in 2024. There’s a lot of content, with three all-new Sets, and a handful of events. These are:
Three new Sets
The first of these is a Set revival in January 2024, this will, presumably, be its own game mode and bring back a previous Set for a limited time. We’ll also get another Set revival in Q3 of 2024 and while neither have a confirmed Set just yet, it’s likely Riot will want to roll back the years to something in the range of Set 1 to 7.
As mentioned, the TFT Set 11 release date is in March, which will be followed by the TFT anniversary with even more events and game modes. We even know the general idea behind Set 12 and Set 13, with the two coming in July and Q4 2024, respectively.
It’s looking to be an action-packed 2024, with a ton of new TFT content being released on a regular basis. We’ll keep you updated should any new information arise and, based on past Sets, it probably won’t be long until we start hearing more about Set 11 and beyond!
